Turn cutting data into numbers.
Use cutting data for your actual product and material. Calculate RPM, cutting speed and feed rate with units and assumptions visible.
Your result
Ready when you are.
Enter diameter and either cutting speed or RPM. Add feed per revolution for a feed-rate result.

Metric: n = 1000 × vc ÷ (π × D)
Imperial: n = 12 × vc ÷ (π × D)
Feed rate = feed per revolution × RPM
For D = 20 mm, vc = 100 m/min and f = 0.1 mm/rev: n = 1,591.549 rpm and feed rate = 159.155 mm/min. These are arithmetic example inputs, not a recommendation for a material or insert.
With a supplied 1,200 rpm limit, the computed ceiling is 1,200 rpm, actual cutting speed is 75.398 m/min and feed rate is 120 mm/min. Results retain full precision internally and display three decimal places. Choose a supported machine setting separately.
Assumes a fixed cutting diameter and steady RPM. Facing or constant-surface-speed control needs changing diameter and an appropriate RPM limit. No allowance for power, torque, tool life, acceleration or measured surface finish is calculated.
