Fill the known fields. Unknown conditions stay marked as missing.

Read these fields separately

  1. Designation and specification: manufacturer, complete grade, governing product document and edition, certificate/heat reference. Similar names do not prove equivalence.
  2. Form and geometry: plate, bar, tube, casting, extrusion or molded part; thickness, diameter and test direction.
  3. Material state: annealing, quench/temper or aging route, cold work, stress relief, filler and moisture conditioning as applicable.
  4. Data conditions: test temperature, environment, duration, method and whether a value is typical, minimum or another specified limit.

A chemistry designation alone does not supply a heat-treatment state. An unidentified piece cannot be identified reliably by appearance or a rough hardness reading.
